Pregnancy & Postpartum Performance Therapy
Feel like yourself again.
You regularly worked out before pregnancy and now you are unsure of how to proceed through movement and returning to what you love doing without pain or injury. Our care can start before or during pregnancy and is most essential in the postpartum period to reconnect the pelvic and abdominal muscles to optimize movement. Rebuilding a strong foundation will allow you to push performance goals just like you used to before baby was here!
We can do it all in one place.
Birth prep, fitness guidance, and physical therapy.
-
Birth Prep.
During birth prep sessions we talk all things birth plan, including laboring positions, partner support strategies with movement, expectations with c-sections, as well as breathing and mobility to optimize the experience…and more!
-
Postpartum Preparation & Support.
Whether it’s your first child or fifth, there is always benefit in having one-on-one, individualized support for the mental and physical aspects of labor and beyond. This starts prior to birth and includes a session within 2-4 weeks of childbirth to begin healing the body in an optimal way.
-
Exercise Guidance.
Your goal is to keep moving during pregnancy and then return to the exercise you were doing before, right? Perfect, we LOVE that! We offer specialized exercise for pregnancy and postpartum, whether you’re in a group fitness community or completing workouts at home.
Pregnancy & Postpartum
Fitness Programming
Combining these three knowledge bases, I am very passionate about helping pregnant women stay (or become!!) active during pregnancy and beyond. There is a large gap for this specific population in the fitness world and I want to help fill it! Everyone responds to this phase of life differently so individualized guidance is essential to optimize outcomes for everyone involved.
Together we create a plan that works for YOU and your lifestyle. Whether this is your first pregnancy or fifth, we can find a way to make movement a healthy, safe part of your life. We discuss preparation for birth and how to best recover in the first 6 weeks of postpartum before you see any other healthcare provider. Let’s keep moving even with another human on board!
